YMCA Daycare Accepting New Children

The YMCA Day Care is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and offers a well-balanced program focused on the developmental needs of children. This program offers year-round childcare for children ages 1 to 5. Children ages 3 to 5 also will benefit from the YMCA’s preschool curriculum from September through May.

YMCA is proud to announce we are a Paths to Quality Level 2 Participant.

Y Summer Day Camp

The Day Camp Program is a safe, fun and active place where children ages 5 – 12 years old are given the opportunity to participate in many supervised activities. Our program is designed to meet the needs of the children in our community and in our YMCA.

The YMCA, while based on Christian principles and values, is non-discriminatory, accepting children of all faiths and heritages. We promote an anti-biased, multicultural approach to curriculum development where conflict resolution, teamwork and problem solving skills are modeled and taught. Respect for self, others, equipment and the environment are crucial elements of all interactions among children and adults.

The program is planned to promote active learning with play as the child’s method of discovery. Experiences and activities are introduced so children have an opportunity to make decisions and solve problems. A primary goal is to promote the maximum development of the whole child . . . physical, emotional, social, intellectual, creative and spiritual. By planning a developmentally appropriate environment, the center provides a place for your child to feel significant and successful.

YMCA Childwatch

YMCA Childwatch Services

The Child Watch program is a service provided free of charge to our members with a family membership while they workout or participate in other programs for brief periods of time. Child Watch staff although trained do not provide educational or overly structured play due to the wide ranges of ages and abilities in one room. Staff strive to provide a variety of activities keeping the safety and security of all the children in mind. Handbook and registration papers must be read and completed before attending.

Childwatch Ages: Three months to Eight Years

Childwatch Hours: At Right hand side of page

Childwatch Time Limits: Children can be in the Child Watch area a maximum of two hours per day to allow members the advantage of this free service. A Thirty-day suspension of Child Watch privileges will result the third time a parent is late in a three-month period.
